OCT. 31ST -Happy Halloween/Samhain!
Oct 28th,
2009 - A declassified air force mission has been released to the general public. The mission was to collect
video surveillance footage of the City of Brandon.
October 28th, 2009- The Vikeslandic Star rocket project
is now back into action. The build of this experimental multi use rocket was halted due to recessional budgetary concerns
and was mothballed until now. The Rocket will see completion this winter with a test launch in spring of 2010. This rocket
will be testing the cluster engine reliability as well as gather data on max. altitude and the new fin design performance.
The recovery parachute has been upgraded thanks to an earlier test of the chute system by an earlier prototype.
Once tested and completed the 4 ft. high rocket will be able to accomodate various sized payloads and missions.
The future hope is to launch a remote controlled plane atop the Vikeslandic star to quickly set it to a high altitude
to begin its missions.

October 20th - The Government of Vikesland has altered its foreign policy
in regards to recognition of other micronations. The new policy will recognize all Micronations that fit the criteria of the
Montevideo convention of 1933 by defacto. However the Principality of Vikesland will not entertain any treaties of recognition
or treaties of any kind with Micronations that have not had a lengthy history of good diplomacy with our nation.
OCTOBER
On OCT. 31st to Nov. 3rd we celebrate
Vikeslandic Samhain which involves Halloween on the 31st and the tradition of a lit jack-o-lantern in the window til the 3rd.
June 7th - 2009 On Sunday June 7th, Vikesland seen many folks

WE MADE IT TO SPACE!

On August 16th, 2008 Micronational history was made
when the launch of the AWAY 35 mission by JP AEROSPACE carried the Vikeslandic national flag to the edge of space.
This is Historical, as far as is known no other micronation
has accomplished this feat to date.
The AWAY mission was launched from the desert floor
by Black Rock Nevada. The launch vehicle is carried to the edge of the stratosphere by large balloons. The vehicle itself
carries video cameras as well as still cameras and has various scientific instruments that collect data during the mission.
As well small instruments known as PONGSATS are aboard and carry out a wide variety of functions when kissing the vacuum of
space.
The Vikeslandic Department of Aeronautics and Space
helped sponsor the AWAY 35 mission and in turn had the flag taken up to the final frontier.
Prince Christopher I of Vikesland said, "Let the
Micronational space race begin! I invite all other small nations to do the same or go beyond this historical accomplishment."
JP Aerospace is dubbed as "Americas other space program"
and is indeed a great partner for those who are interested in becoming involved or sponsoring an AWAY mission. The whole mission
was documented on video and our national flag is clearly seen on the craft as it is prepared for launch on the desert floor.
